The next generation PDA with a large color thumb operated touch screen, 7 (parallel) processor, … the “world’s first TDA”. There’s more info and pics here. Interesting, but i don’t think i’ll be buying one any time soon.

Tour de Lance. As lance armstrong takes a stable at his 6th tour de france victory he’s riding and using the latest and greatest in technology including a $2800 carbon-fiber frame that weighs in at only 2.42 pounds. Perhaps most interesting (for those of you with more money than sense) are oakley’s mp3 sunglasses which can store 35 songs. Avaiable in december they’re interesting, but considering the prices of a normal pair of oakleys i would be afraid to know what these would cost. i’ll stick to my $2 big-lots specials.

PBS is censoring one of its new dramas, cop shop. In reaction to the FCC’s new heavy handed guidlines prompted by the superbowl halftime show debacle. One of the show’s actors Richard Dreyfuss had this to say: ‘It is inescapably censorship under guidelines imposed after the fact by those who are in temporary political power, and so it should be treated as what it is — a real-world moral and ethical battle with grimly wrongheaded, un-American types who play pick and choose when they define our freedoms of speech and religion as it fits their particular political needs
